Apple iPhone Error 53 - what does it mean?

Apple iPhone Error 53 - what does it mean? On Friday 5th February, thousands of iPhone 6 users have had their devices, bricked (the name for a piece of technology which can only be used as a paperweight) after encountering the error 53 message. The problem stems from the phones TouchID sensor, which is part of the home button and is used to read the users fingerprint to unlock the device, or purchase items through the Apple Pay service. When having the phone repaired by a non-Apple authorised repairer and they replace the home button, an update of the operating system detects a non-standard component and shuts down the device. read more...
